Josh and Amanda

Title: By Land and By Air

Players: Heather O'Leary, Maggie Blodgett, Elizabeth Maxwell, Juliet Parrish, Ryan Rivers, Alexis Ayala, Joshua, and Amanda

Location: California Woods, California Road, Maxwell Ranch

Synopsis: Long walks, attempted hitchhiking, rescues, small children, and personal issues. Who could ask for more?

Heather O'Leary is inside the Skyfighter, and if people listen, they can hear that she is slapping something against the controls, against the Hull-walls, and on the ceiling. It makes a soft, dull thawp, when she does. Shortly, she steps out, and moves to get her Laser Rifle, and her bag. Over her jacket is the web gear she wore on the raid, and hanging of it is a knife, a holstered Pistol, and a grenade, and a couple pouches with clips for the pistol. She glances around, and asks softly, through the rain, "Everyone ready to go?"

Elizabeth Maxwell glances up towards Heather, glancing up idly at the rain for a moment, then nodding. "I'm ready to go if everyone else is..."

Juliet Parrish has pulled the blanket back around her shoulders. She's been cold the last couple of days. Maybe it's all a trick of the mind, but. Either way, she's leaning against the tree, waiting quietly.

Angelica has her pack on her shoulder again, and is checking other things that might need taking. "Sooner we get back the better, those burns still need a lot of care when we get back."

Heather O'Leary nods, and picks up a small bag from the ground, "I grabbed a few of the Visitor E-Rats... At least we can keep Angelica in OK Shape...." She also carries a small box, with an antennae on it.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little, picking up the bag of weapons she had, and gathering up spare emergency blankets and such, for taking along. "Should be good then. Long walk, but..."

Juliet Parrish collects the things she's carrying, and turns, to begin moving off in the direction the group had previously decided on. She's not leaving, but she's ready, and showing it.

Angelica collects her pack, and several other things, as well, glancing towards the others and nodding.

Heather O'Leary points to the south, and says softly, "I'll take the front... Someone let me know when everyone is 200 yards or so, from the Sky Fighter..."

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little at Heather. "Right..."

Juliet Parrish simply continues to wait. She doesn't have much to say, nope

Heather O'Leary shrugs, deciding to let everyone that is cranky, stay cranky. She leads the way, trusting the person in the rear to let her know when to make things go Ka-Boom.

Elizabeth Maxwell glances up at Heather, slipping up more closely for her, to keep with her on the trail, smiling to her happily.

Juliet Parrish remains wherever it is she gets stuck in the lineup, silent and remaining to herself.

Angelica follows along at the rear, watching back towards the shuttle, and trying to estimate 200 yards, as she does.

Heather O'Leary sighs softly and says, "This rain is going to slow us down..." She sighs, and listens for the rear-guard to let her know.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little at that. "Yeah, it probably will. Hopefully it'll slow them down as well though, so it shouldn't be terribly much of a problem. Unless we have to go up or down anything steep and muddy..."

Juliet Parrish continues to walk, quietly, boring...pass her over, she'll let you know if she does anything interesting.

Angelica slips up behind the rear, moving a little more quickly and glancing back. "We should be just about far enough..."

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, and brings up the box. She pulls out the antennae from the box, and points the device at the Skyfighter in the distance. The Sky Fighter explodes in a brilliant flash, and the heat can be felt even, this far away. There was enough C-4 inside the Skyfighter, to blow the pieces out for 100 yards, but enough of the Skyfighter is recognizable, that you can tell what it was, and since the rain is coming down good, the fire won't last long, and the metal should be cool, as long as the Visitors wait 90 minutes or so.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little, watching the explosion. "Kinda sad, after all the work that was done, including the El Paso raid, to fix it..."

Angelica watches the explosion as well, pausing at it, and nodding a little at the remains of the shuttle, before turning back around, and walking in closer to the group.

"If they didn't know where we were before," Julie mutters as she continues simply walking along. Unlike the others, she doesn't even look back at the explosion, having been expecting it.

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "Yeah... but with the engines gone, she'd never have flown again.... And the raid did get us other stuff..." Sure, bring that raid up. She sighs, softly, "Julie, if they aren't anywhere close, that explosion might actually cover our trail better."

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit. "If they aren't close, it makes it look like the ship exploded and took all aboard in the crash. In theory."

Juliet Parrish merely shrugs, not buying it. The Visitors may be dumb, but they aren't stupid. No bodies, no one died, that's their belief as far as she can tell. But she doesn't argue.

Angelica looks around a little bit. "That, or that the people inside were thrown out along the way down. For all they know, there could be dead bodies in the tall trees, and unless they're searching more extensively than expected..."

Heather O'Leary looks thoughtful, and could say the bear tracks might help there, but hey, Julie didn't say anything out loud. Instead, she turns and leads the way back towards the South. She brings her rifle around, so that in case she needs it... she has it ready.

Elizabeth Maxwell smiles at Heather, watching, and heading back south once again as well, trying to keep up with her, as she looks around the trees and brush, trying to spot any potential problem along the sides, if she can.

Juliet Parrish walk, walk, walks.

Many hours pass.

Angelica keeps trudging along as the hours pass, looking mostly forward to make sure of where everyone is going.

Heather O'Leary is still in the lead, leading the group, than she stops. "Holy Shit... a Road...." Yup, a four-lane Divided Highway... 4 lanes of Concrete.

Elizabeth Maxwell draws up, and stops short at that, glancing up and down at it. "Maybe the cell would work, if there's a highway, they might have a tower put in along the way, otherwise people driving it would have complained..."

Juliet Parrish draws to a stop with the others, peering at the road, up and down, to see if there is any traffic...

Heather O'Leary looks thoughtful, "Anyone bring their Cell Phone?" She too looks to see what traffic there might be, but since it is raining, hard, most travelers have pulled off the road to wait. Not one is in sight. There goes something, a big 18 wheeler with the Visitor Logo on it...

Angelica glances at the road as well, hmming at it and looking up and down it, sighing at the vehicle passing.

Elizabeth Maxwell hmms a little bit, and checks for her cell in her bag, hmming slightly. "I think it was in my jacket, is it still there now? Should be inside the zipper pocket..."

Heather O'Leary pats the jacket and sighs

Juliet Parrish shakes her head before setting the bags she has down, and sighing. "Camp out here," she mutters, moving forward. "Someone'll be along for you." She looks over her shoulder, and well, if someone's going to stop that truck, she's the only choice.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little and tries to remember. "It should be there anyway, if I had it along... Maybe I didn't put it in..."

Heather O'Leary bites her lip, and looks around, "Tyler and I can walk up the Highway for a bit, and find a phone..."

Heather O'Leary mutters to Elizabeth Maxwell, "Let me borrow your pants, and keep an eye on... the others for me?"

Elizabeth Maxwell bites her lip and blushes a little at Heather, nodding. "All right... be careful? Stay out of sight until you get to the phone, and be careful of what's said, they might be tapping it." She slips down her pants then, handing them to Heather.

Heather O'Leary slips into the pants, and she and Tyler slip down the road.

Elizabeth Maxwell wraps a blanket around herself, to keep her legs from getting too wet.

Nearly 2 hours later...

Elizabeth Maxwell paces quietly with the blanket over her legs, shaking her head. "I'm getting worried..."

Juliet Parrish breaks into a slight jog to reach the freeway before the Visitor's truck can pass, stepping just slightly out into the pavement to try and flag them down. What a vision she presents, too. dripping wet in the pouring rain.

Elizabeth Maxwell keeps pacing near the trees, watching Julie head out to the road and sighing just a little, wondering what she's doing now. She waits, several moments, so she isn't told to go back immediately, and starts very quietly trying to slip up the bank, wanting to glance up and down the road again.

Upon seeing a person in the road, it doesn't take too long for the truck to start slowing down. Two shadows occupy the front seats, watching the lone figure as she stands there, and pulling the truck down to a stop, quickly enough. When they come into view, the two shadows are enemy Shock Troopers.

Juliet Parrish had pretty well expected that. It's a Visitor truck after all. And she's not sure she wants to know what they're transporting. She continues to wave, however, wet and pathetic looking.

Elizabeth Maxwell frowns at that, starting to get herself down just a little, and head back for the trees.

The trooper in the passenger seat steps out of the truck, holding his weapon, as soon as it lands, and looks up and down at Julie with immediate disdain. "What brings you here, to the middle of nowhere?"

Juliet Parrish smiles with 'relief', her arm dropping back to her side. "My car broke down." If she recognizes the figure for what he is, she doesn't show it. "I was walking, trying to find a phone, and you came along..."

The trooper looks Julie up and down, quickly, and frowns, glancing up the road. "Walking how far, in the rain? I haven't seen a car, and don't see one in the other direction..." The driver begins to get down then, as well, to check things out.

"It's been a couple of hours, I was on my way from a friend's farm. I couldn't keep sitting in the car on a back road." Juliet points out as if it's the most logical thing in the world.

The trooper frowns, turning around and telling the driver to check the map for back roads within a 'couple hours' of walk. "If you've been out here two hours, I'm surprised one of our other trucks didn't stop to question you about it..." The driver slips into the cab to check the map, of course, as ordered.

"I saw one about an hour and a half ago," Juliet agrees, nodding as she shivers. It is cold, standing in the rain, you know. "But I wasn't quick enough trying to flag them down. Look, I just need a ride to the nearest town, I can get a hold of someone from there..."

Elizabeth Maxwell keeps herself down, and nearly motionless, considering how to get back to the trees. She's in the other direction from where they're looking, luckily, so slips down below the sight of people standing on the road, and down into the light cover...

The trooper looks her up and down, and hmms. "We don't have any room in the truck for you. And our truck is full. I'm sure I can have a ship sent to get you, they're all involved in a ground search, deep into the woods." He hms. "Wouldn't happen to have seen a crashed fighter, would you?"

Juliet Parrish blinks at that, shaking her head, a hand lifting to push her hair back out of her face. "I saw something that way," She points in the direct opposite direction that the skyfighter crashed in. "But I don't know what it was...look, I'm cold, there has to be room in there for me. I'm sure Diana would be disappointed if you left me standing on the side of the road."

The trooper frowns at that. "Interesting. Our crash report noted it as being in the other direction..." He narrows his eyes and peers up and down at Julie, giving the driver a hand gesture behind him. The driver slips back off, moving out behind the truck, and towards the tree line, quietly, at this point. "They initially thought everyone was killed in the crash, but they're making sure. And since the crash site was still within a long walking distance of here..." He hmms. "We may just have enough room in the back for you, I'll check..." The driver, meanwhile, searches the sides of the road, and such, a little more visibly by now.

"Like I said," Juliet returns lifting her chin slightly. "I don't know what it was I saw. it could have been the LA airport, or the San Fransisco one," she points out with a sigh. "Your driver, I'm sure, wouldn't mind if I squished in between you."

The trooper laughs and shakes his head. "Perhaps not. But the people who'd see it when we got there certainly would." He glances Julie up and down as he speaks, considering. "Still, with the shape you're in..." he gets into the truck for a radio. "We'll call it in. We might be able to get away with getting you back to the car, then someone would come down to its location to pick you up. Wouldn't get wet that way..."

Juliet Parrish shifts her stance, subtly arching a hip out as she returns the Trooper's look. "You'll get that truck stuck on the dirt road," she points out. "It's fine, just get me to the nearest town, and I'll get a hold of my friend. They'll take the tractor out to pull the car out, and I can find a hotel room."

The trooper hmms at that. "A dirt road? Interesting being out on one of those, in this rain." The driver, meanwhile, is getting perilously close, were people not deep into the woods. He doesn't see anything however, and begins to walk back towards the rig, to go around. "Well..." He looks Julie up and down a bit again, a little more interested. "Possibly, we can take you to our nearest stop, best we can do though. We've spent too much time here already." He gestures idly with the rifle. "We're just taking a load to one of our facilities, the town it's in should have a phone."

Juliet Parrish nods slightly, glancing towards the back of the truck. "It wasn't raining when I left," she mutters, before adding. "What are you hauling today? Oranges?, with a gun, you've got to be taking something more important than that...and what town is it?"

The trooper chuckles. "Important cargo indeed. We're headed back towards southward areas, mostly Fresno. Just a load of stuff for our main facility there..."

Juliet Parrish nods slightly, knowing what that usually means. Weapons, or food.

The trooper offers something of a smile, looking Julie up and down again. "I'm sure they wouldn't mind seeing you. They'd be glad to help you to your final destination, in fact. They have better equipment for that, there."

Juliet Parrish knows precisely where the Trooper thinks he's taking her. "You may want to contact Diana before delivering me to a processing center," Juliet points out quietly. "I don't think she would...happy to hear that you were responsible for me ending up there." She's standing on the side of the road, dripping wet, speaking with a Trooper next to a transport trailer.

The trooper shrugs then and smiles. "Too bad, you're a pretty good looking little giblet. Have a nice walk then." The trooper climbs up into the cab, and the driver restarts the vehicle, while the one who was speaking starts radioing in the delay, and new ETA time.

Juliet Parrish moves to stand in front of the truck, arching an eyebrow. "Call Diana...tell her you have Doctor Juliet Parrish with you, and you're refusing to give her a ride." she instructs, imperiously.

Overhead, a Skyfighter comes into view.

The trooper shrugs. "Whatever. Like we'd ever get through to anyone that high up anyway." He motions to the driver, and the truck pulls back out onto the highway, speeding back up.

Juliet Parrish sighs softly, shaking her head. The next time she sees Diana, she'll be telling her.

Heather O'Leary says softly to the Pilot of the Skyfighter, Maggie Blodgett, "Better wait 'til that truck moves on...." Than, as it does, "As soon as it is out of sight, set us down...."

<ResRadio> Heather O'Leary says, "Juliet.... Incoming Skyfighter... Don't shoot at us, eh?"
<ResRadio> Juliet Parrish says, "Good me a favor, try and knock out the cab of that truck? They have human cargo in the back."
<ResRadio> Heather O'Leary says, "Copy....."

Heather O'Leary looks at Maggie, "Switch over to my controls... My aim is a little better, and this is going to take some fancy shooting...."

Maggie turns the Skyfighter over to Heather.

In the co-pilots seat, Heather moves the Skyfighter down over the truck.

<ResRadio> Heather O'Leary says, "We don't have room to take them all with us, Julie... But there is a small town only 5 miles up the road..."

Juliet Parrish moves back from the side of the road, watching the truck driving away.

Elizabeth Maxwell slips out from where she was hiding, walking idly towards the group, not bothering to hide in trees anymore, looking up as well, to see them come in.

The Resistance Sky Fighter swoops down, and even through the rain, the brilliant flash of double blue Cobalt Lasers can be seen impacting the engine and cab of the Truck. The truck comes to a stop. The guards jump from the truck, and are cut down by another flash of lasers. The Skyfighter sets down, and shortly, Heather might be seen going to the back of the truck and opening the doors of the truck.

<ResRadio> Heather O'Leary says, "Truck stopped... You guys should come down this way."

Juliet Parrish is already running towards where the truck was blown up. She doesn't know what the state of things will be in the back, but she needs to see.

ATTRIBUTE CHECK: NAME: Heather O'Leary ATTRIBUTE: Accuracy

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs, looking up at how far the truck is, and slipping back into the woods, to get some cover from the rain. Time enough to worry about that, now. She pulls the blanket partly over her head as well.

The Skyfighter lifts off, and moves slowly down the highway, at a level of 3 feet from the ground. As soon as the Pilot sees Julie, it sets down, and Maggie's voice comes over the radio, "All right, everyone inside, before you catch Pneumonia!"

Back at the truck, the humans are fleeing into the woods, to escape the Burning Truck, while Heather holds two young children one 6 months old, and the other 2 years old. Their mother is not in the truck, and neither is their father.

Juliet Parrish ignores the call from Maggie, moving instead towards Heather, and the children. "They thought to take me, and...well, I'm suddenly glad they didn't. You couldn't have done that if they had," she offers to Heather, reaching for the two year old. She's cold, and wet, but hey, so is the child by this point probably.

Angelica walks out towards the truck, glancing around a little, and shivering slightly.

Heather O'Leary doesn't release the children, not yet, "Julie... Their parents are dead...." The 2 year old is a boy, who is clinging to Heather, and crying. The 6 month old girl is crying too, and Heather has them covered with her jacket. Heather herself is now, again, soaking, but her jacket is able to protect the children a little. All the humans have run away, into the woods. They are from nearby, obviously, as they didn't even consider using the road.

Juliet Parrish smirks faintly, nodding. "I figured that," she allows, looking at the pair. "We can't leave them here..." She looks around, seeing no humans having remained.

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, and says softly, "Can you take the little girl? Get her in the Skyfighter? I'll take this one... Josh is his name, and his sister is Amanda"

Angelica slips up to the others, glancing to the two children and sighing slightly, standing quiet.

Elizabeth Maxwell slips up through the trees, and to the main group, finally, looking to the child Heather holds, and frowning slightly, giving the child a look of sympathy. "Wonder where their parents are... unless..." She frowns further and sighs.

"Here Amanda," Juliet coos softly before smiling down at Josh. "Shh, hun, you're safe now." before she steps back. Using her hand, she tries to keep the rain off Amanda's face.

Heather O'Leary says softly, "D E A D.... One of the women in the truck told me..." She turns to the Skyfighter, and moves quickly towards it, wanting to keep the children as dry as she can. The woman's mothering instincts must have kicked in.

Rather like Juliet's. Julie actually spoke a full phrase to Heather, after all. She hurries towards the skyfighter.

Elizabeth Maxwell winces a little. "Damn..." She hurries for the fighter with the others, sighing softly.

Heather O'Leary says softly, "I... Think we are responsible for them now...." She looks at Julie, after she gets in the Skyfighter, "But dare we take care of them long? I'd hate for us to do so, than upset their world again... if we... you know."

...From the woods, a man comes. A man, with a lot of crap. Guns, machinery that was decided to be important... Whatever the higher ups wanted salvaged from the ship. He was on his way since he heard the radio call. Getting here... That is what took him awhile.

Juliet Parrish nods slightly at Heather, gently cradling the crying infant as she gets out of the rain, in the skyfighter. Shushing at the six month old, she nods at Heather. "She's too young to remember, but Josh." She nods to the boy and shrugs gently. "I'm sure he'd like the horses."

Elizabeth Maxwell climbs into the fighter and glances to Heather and Julie, sitting in near Heather, and staying quiet, watching the children.

"hisses?" is Josh's response. "I Like Hisses" he says, solemnly, having stopped crying.

Juliet Parrish smiles softly at Josh, knowing full well that, at times like these, the best idea is a distraction. He'll heal later. "Yes, horses. We have horses...I think we even have a new one you can name."

Ryan Rivers merely makes his way toward the fighter, entering in and loosening the ropes that he used to tie it all together with a slump. After that, he puts his guns down, remaining rather quiet. As per usual.

Heather O'Leary looks at Ryan, and smiles, but her attention is drawn to the kids. Kittens and Kids must be her weaknesses, or maybe she adopts all helpless things?

Elizabeth Maxwell wraps her arm up around Heather, and scritches her hair a little. "You feeling all right, honey?"

Angelica slips towards the back of the ship, settling onto a seat after dropping off what she was carrying, and laying her head back, closing her eyes.

Juliet Parrish settles into her seat, her arm crooked just right so as to sooth Amanda. She offers the infant her finger to suck on, not being able to imagine how long the child was in the trailer without eating.

Heather O'Leary nods slightly to Liz, "I'm OK... Glad to be out of the rain..."

Maggie closes the hatch after everyone is aboard. Off the Sky Fighter goes, heading for the ranch.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little and shivers. "So am I..." She glances to the little boy and ruffles his hair gently.

Ryan Rivers merely offers a small smile back to Heather, just taking off his wet combat jumpsuit soon after to show short gray gym shorts and a white tanktop. Nothing to see here save a wet Ryan that seats himself in the corner.

"Hisses! Where Hisses?" Josh asks Julie, "Cwose by?" He than looks around at the motion of the skyfighter, "We Fwying?"

Juliet Parrish smiles warmly, nodding at Josh. "We're flying," she assures him softly. "And we'll be there soon. But we can't see the horses until after we've gone into the house, and had a cup of hot chocolate, and some cookies. Okay?"

Angelica smiles a little, hearing the children seem a little happier at least, and nods off to sleep in the back of the fighter.

Heather O'Leary chuckles softly, "You like Flying, Josh?" She leans her head against Liz, and says softly, "I feel so bad for them.."

Ryan Rivers smiles softly at the kids, his thoughts just going of some of his cousins as he muses silently.

Elizabeth Maxwell hugs Heather's head and nods a little bit, whispering just as softly. "Yeah... so do I. Poor kids..." She looks them over a bit. "I'm just glad we got them out. And you seem to pick up mothering so easily..." She smiles a little at Heather then.

Juliet Parrish settles back, quietly rocking Amanda as she has her conversation with Josh.

Angelica stays asleep, until otherwise noted, silent in her chair.

Josh nods solemnly again, "uh huh... Fun." He leans forward and wraps his arms around Heather's neck and holds her.

Amanda, for her part, has drifted off to sleep as infants tend to do, sucking quietly on Juliet's finger.

Heather O'Leary smiles at Liz and shrugs slightly, "Kids are cute...." She is squished, and winces a little at the tightness, but just smiles.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods at that and smiles, kissing Heather on the cheek, then petting Josh's back gently, and smiling at him.

Ryan Rivers merely just pulls something that Ham might go, and just looks at his guns. Of course, with kids around, he unclips his weapons and makes sure there is nothing in the chambers. He would put them away somewhere away from where they could see or get it, but well, not much room on a vessel like this.

Juliet Parrish has gone back to being quiet, just studying the child she holds, and quietly returning to her brooding.

Heather O'Leary looks over at Amanda, than double checks her own weapons, while her neck is being held tightly. Unfortunately, she'll have to get Josh to release her neck, as he is squeezing tightly.

Josh says, "Fweinds, Right?" Than, in the way of kids, "Who is dat?" pointing at Ryan.

Elizabeth Maxwell smiles at Heather and laughs a little, looking at her bag of weapons, and putting it under her seat, making sure it's zipped up tightly, looking to Josh then and smiling.

Maggie calls out, "All right, we are home folks..." One might feel the Skyfighter slowly settle to the ground, and than, the hatch opens. Maggie set down in the barn...

Ryan Rivers just nods to Maggie, rising slowly as he just gets his jumpsuit and the guns and prepares to debark. Someone else can get the equipment later. Right now, he just wants to get into a bed.

Heather O'Leary stands up, and carries Josh towards the Infirmary, and mutters, "Better find someone willing to do a quick drive... for clothes for these two.. OH, and formula for the little one..."

Angelica yawns a little bit, and begins waking up as the ship sets down, heading outward. "I'll be in the infirmary in a few minutes..." She mutters very lowly, not wanting the little kids to hear her, worried about how they'd react.

"I'll go." Julie responds, standing as well. She extends the infant towards Heather, or Liz, whoever takes her.

Elizabeth Maxwell gets up off her seat, taking the infant gently, since Heather's carrying Josh. She smiles gently at the little girl, trying to cradle her just as well, and rock gently. "She's adorable..."

"Get me a list and I can do it," Ryan replies, just looking over toward Julie as she offers as well. "Either way is fine with me... Just figured since I wasn't shot up or anything I should go."

Heather O'Leary nods to Julie, "Diapers too..." She than says, "Plenty of money in the purse just inside the door... the red one is mine..."

"That's fine, I can handle it." Julie returns to Heather before looking to Ryan. "I'm fine." And this time, she means precisely that. Without another word, she steps out of the skyfighter.

Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little bit. "Diapers and baby wipes, and toys..." She hmms. "I might be able to find some of Katie's old toys in the basement, I don't think Josh would like them, though..." she hmms a little bit. "Essentials for now though, I can take him toy shopping in town a little later on."

Heather O'Leary nods softly, "I have some... things packed in a box he can play with." Sure, her old Star Wars collection might be worth a lot of money, especially now, but what the heck, right?

"You guys act like we are keeping him," Ryan offers with a small frown in concern, not looking toward anyone as he slings his stuff over his shoulder.

"I'll have it all sent back here by tonight," Juliet returns over her shoulder. "Just let him see the horses, and he'll be fine until it all arrives." And with that, she's gone.

Heather O'Leary looks at Ryan, "Their parents are... D E A D.... Someone has to take care of them for awhile...."

"What's d e a d?" asks the small voice of the Boy.

Elizabeth Maxwell glances to Heather a little bit. "You sure? I could take him in for things tomorrow morning... For now, he needs to sleep..." She flinches as that gets asked, cradling the tiny girl more closely, and giving her a smile, even if she is flinching.

"Yeah... And we should call the child services. It's the proper way to do it," Ryan offers in a rather matter of fact tone. Of course, he wants to do it by the book. Just because he lets a lot of things in the Resistance slide... Doesn't mean he likes it.

Heather O'Leary bites her lip, and tries to decide if lying to the Youngster is the best bet. "Ryan... what are we going to tell them? Hey, we rescued these kids from the Visitors... Come get them? Oh, and while you are at it, here's the address, give it to Diana, would you?" She sighs, and than says softly, "I'm sorry Ryan... You didn't deserve that." Softly, to Josh she says, "It means gone away to be with God, sweetie..."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little bit. "If we take them to child services, it'll have to be child services somewhere above the dust line, where we can tell them what happened." She glances about. "And going up that far can't be done terribly often."

Angelica slips out of the shuttle and upstairs quietly, for a little bit, to clean up, and change her clothes.

"That was what I was thinking, Elizabeth," Ryan states, just brushing off Heather's comment with a shrug, too tired to want to go into anything that might remotely risk getting him into an argument. "...New York would be the best bet if it is truly a big get together place for the Resistance. The last thing I would want is for the kids to end up in a Visitor Youth Camp. I am just saying it is DANGEROUS here... and our lives are far from stable. Just a thought, that's all." That said, he moves toward the exit unless stopped by someone.

Heather O'Leary nods to Ryan, "I doubt it will be but a week or so..." She pauses, "And I have been making the place safer. We have a couple of people in town with Kids a little older than these two, and they want to move out here for safety reasons. It is safer out here than in town."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little to Ryan and nods. "We'll take them to New York as soon as we can safely do so, believe it or not, we /do/ know that our lives aren't that stable. But we're nice and safe in our little island of dust zone for now, until then."

Ryan Rivers just nods silently to the lovers just making his way out toward the Ranch House to crash on the couch. Because it will be the first thing he can feel good about sleep on and no one would be mean enough to make him move... Right?

Heather O'Leary sighs softly, thinking she has done something wrong, and she has, hasn't she? She let her hard exterior be sabotaged by two little kids.

Elizabeth Maxwell kisses Heather on the cheek as she holds the little tiny baby, and shakes her head. "He's just tired, we all are. we're probably lucky people have gotten along through this as well as they have. Aside from minor incidents, we came through all right."

Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly, "Julie's pissed at all of us.... And Ryan seems disappointed..." She sighs, and takes the little boy into the infirmary, so someone can check him over. She does need to get some fresh clothes, so says to Liz, "How about I take her too, go wait for Angel or Quinn in the Infirmary, and you go get us some fresh, dry clothes?"

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs and shakes her head. "I doubt she's pissed off at all of us..." She nods then. "I'll go get us some clothes, but I'll be needing to go to the infirmary as well..." She sighs a little. "They didn't look at me as much as some others, because I was bandaged too well, and the spots weren't entirely visible under the clothes."

Heather O'Leary frowns slightly, than nods, "Maybe find us something to eat too?" She herself still has a pretty bad burn, but she forgets to mention it, for now.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit. "Yes, I will. And make sure you have someone look at all your burns, please? I want you to be all right, not half fried."

Heather O'Leary chuckles, "Ok... Bring something for this little boy too..." The little boy has mostly fallen asleep,

"Sweepy." Josh says.

See? Heather moves quickly to make sure Josh is able to lay down, while she cradles Amanda.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little and kisses her Heather on the cheek, before slipping for the doors.

Angelica slips into the infirmary, with a clean shirt and pants on, scrubbing her hands quickly as she does.

Josh is resting on a table/bed, while Heather coo's softly at the little girl sleeping in her arms. She stops the coo'ing, and starts singing the old Barry Manilow song, 'Mandy', under her breath to the little girl.

Angelica's hair, for note, appears to have been washed as well, like she's had a complete and careful shower, to get the filth out. She slips over towards Heather and the kids, smiling at the sight.

Heather O'Leary smiles at Angel, and stops singing, "Do you... umm... Do you know anything about Babies?"

Angelica hmms a little bit. "My contact with ones this young is a little limited, but I know some..." Well, it's a better than 'I was one once, and got over it' at least, hopefully.

Heather O'Leary nods, and says, "I hope you understand the trust I am placing in you.... If you were not... A member of the Resistance, I would be afraid of you trying to... you know..." Heather is not trying to offend, just trying to impress on Angel the old adage, 'Nothing so bad as a mother who has a wounded baby', even if, in this case, the baby is not truly the mothers, but this is pretty close.

Angelica tenses /just/ a little at that, frowning slightly. "I would never even /think/ about doing that." she glances to the baby then, very gently stroking the tiny girl's cheek.

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "I'm... I'm sorry.... Just slipped out. I trust you Angel... I..." She looks down at Amanda, and shakes her head, not sure how to explain it.

Angelica smiles and shakes her head. "It's all right... All mothers tend to be a little overprotective of anyone else being around a child this young." She keeps trying to be completely gentle, offering a finger out for the tiny baby to tug on, if she wants.

Heather O'Leary says softly, "I'm not their mother..." She offers the baby to Angel to look at.

Angelica smiles a little bit. "Still, the basic instinct kicks in to protect her, since you're holding her and trying to take care of her. Especially considering what happened..."

Heather O'Leary nods, "Could you... Could you look at her? I'm worried about how wet she got. She feels like she might be running a fever."

Angelica nods a little bit at that, digging for equipment. "Hmm, lesse... need either one of those ear thermometers, or a rectal one..." she flinches a little at that comment, herself, shivering softly. "Not sure if the ear ones will work on a small child..." She pulls one out from the cabinet, and walks over to use it on the little child. "Here's hoping. I don't want to shove one of the other ones into her rear, any more than she would want it shoved in."

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, biting her lip, "I don't know... Whatever you think."

Angelica smiles, using the ear one first, to see. "Asides, she might fuss if the rectal one is used." She holds the tip of the thermometer to the ear, and waits to see what it reads.

Heather O'Leary just watches, all scared Amanda's going to be sick or something.

Angelica smiles at the thermometer, shaking her head. "She's just fine... Probably could use a bath... Both of them probably could, really. But she's fine for temperature. Now to check the other thing she might not be fine for, as immediate concern..." she bites her lip a little, and moves to check the diaper.

Heather O'Leary bites her lip real hard, and watches Angel, cause, she needs to learn this stuff too.

Angelica smiles a little. "I'm just checking to check, I'm fairly sure I'd smell it if there were that problem, but..."

Angelica nods at her checks over the girl, and moves to check over the little boy quickly thereafter. "Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with him either... They're in good shape... probably better than you are right now." She frowns, and goes to get some of the more complicated equipment that she brought out to the infirmary.

Heather O'Leary nods, slightly, "Yeah, but til we have a crib or something for Amanda, I can't set her down... Or until someone comes out to hold her..."

Angelica nods a little bit, and hmms. "Right..." She hmms a little. "Hopefully someone will be coming soon..."

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "Elizabeth was getting some food... and some changes of clothes for her and I...."

Angelica nods a little. "Well, then she should be here soon to hold the baby, while you get fixed."

Heather O'Leary nods, "What... What are you going to have to do?"

Angelica sighs a little bit. "Depending on how much is still burned, I may have to open up the surface, to work on the insides of the damage. I can't do that with the little equipment, it just isn't designed for it... It won't be 'good to go' as quickly, either, you'll have to be doing... less than normal, for quite a bit longer..."

Heather O'Leary bites her lip, "How... much longer?"

Angelica sighs a little. "At least a week, if it goes badly, possibly as long as two."

Heather O'Leary nods, "OK..."

Elizabeth Maxwell slips in with several bundles, freshly showered and dressed in dry clothes.

Heather O'Leary watches as Angel talks. She holds Amanda in her arms, while Josh sleeps on a table. She nods to Angel about something.

Elizabeth Maxwell slips over to Heather, setting the bundles on the next table. "Okay, got the clothes..." She smiles at Josh, then at little Amanda.

Angelica nods over to Elizabeth. "Good, now take the baby so I can work on Heather."

Heather O'Leary slowly, carefully, hands Amanda to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Maxwell smiles and takes the baby very gently, making sure to brace the head, as she cradles it into her arms. "Hi there, honey..." She leans in very close, and kisses little Amanda on the forehead.

Angelica smiles happily at that, watching the hand off, then frowning slightly, getting her bigger equipment over, and moving to Heather. "I'll need you to expose the burned areas again..." She sighs a little. "I know you hate that, but I'll draw the curtain over the OR, your girlfriend I'm certain has seen all of it before." She smiles in acknowledgement of Liz.

Heather O'Leary shrugs and unzips the jacket, "Ham said it correctly... everyone has seen what I have.... I shouldn't care anymore."

Elizabeth Maxwell growls just a little at that thought, though she tries to keep it low enough to not disturb the baby, even as she tenses slightly. "He didn't have to say that in public, regardless."

Angelica shakes her head, and draws the 'main' curtain to the other tables and window, anyway, before coming back. "He shouldn't have said it in public, no. Regardless, I doubt that 'everyone' has. There were just some bad circumstances involved."

Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly, "It doesn't matter anymore." She moves to lay down on a table, and makes sure she can see Josh, and Elizabeth and Amanda for that matter.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little bit and shrugs slightly. "It does matter to me, because of some of the things it could be said to insinuate by saying it. Things he had absolutely no right to be implying."

Angelica shakes her head a little and shrugs, letting the two talk, and simply moving to check the burns, bringing her usual two instruments, the bigger one, and another two small ones, with her.

Heather O'Leary closes her eyes, "You know he doesn't even think that way....."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little and shakes her head. "I suppose not... Still... The comment was made just to embarrass you."

Heather O'Leary doesn't shrug, but she wants to, "Tyler's a prick... Nothing new."

Angelica stays quiet still, just moving to the burned place, and checking it, scratching her head softly, and thinking about one of the new devices, glancing at it.

Angelica adjusts the device a little bit, then starts looking over Heather quietly, and putting it up on her forehead. "Yell if anything hurts. This should deaden it, but... I've never had to fiddle with the settings on it before, entirely."

Angelica starts meddling with the scalpel then, realizing it'll need adjusting to, considering what it's set to cut through presently.

Heather O'Leary doesn't move, and likely, wouldn't cry out at any pain. She hates for people to see, or hear, her pain.

Elizabeth Maxwell watches the work on Heather, holding little Amanda gently and trying to shield her eyes from having to see any of it, and trying to coo to her, and sing songs quietly to her. Any she knows.

Angelica hmms as the scalpel doesn't cut. "Set it too light... probably make a nice pointer at this setting, but..." She smiles a little, and adjusts it again, to be just a tiny bit heavier.

Heather O'Leary nods her head very slightly, "Well, as long as you don't set it too high, and it cuts right through me... That, I assume, would be... bad."

Angelica nods a little bit. "Yes, it would. Because I'd have to adjust several more things right, to fix it all."

Elizabeth Maxwell watches the work with a frown, wincing as the problems happen, and biting her lip softly, looking over Heather worriedly.

Heather O'Leary nods again, "Well, once you figure out how to fix us with it, I assume it won't take quite so long, or tickle quite so much, next time?"

Angelica nods a little bit at that. "Yeah..." She tries to adjust the setting again. "The trick is, this one is wanting is for settings is exacting to several decimal places to not be too much. Since it has to be more delicate..." She adjusts it a very tiny bit again.

Heather O'Leary is laying on a Medical Bed, looking at a young boy on another bed, and Elizabeth is also near by, holding a baby girl.

Angelica phews softly as the cutter starts working, opening up the burned area very /very/ slowly, running a heavier sterilizer on it continually, to keep anything from happening.

Heather O'Leary bites her lip, but remains stoically quiet.

Alexis Ayala walks in slowly, taking a look around, a little surprised to see children in here, and again surprised to see the infirmary so populated.

Elizabeth Maxwell winces just a little as she watches Heather cut, and bites her lip a bit, hugging little Amanda more closely.

Angelica continues to cut into the top layers, to see how deeply the burning goes, and get to the bottom. "If I can get to the bottom, I can regenerate layer by layer, that keeps it from healing the top and not healing the rest..." She watches closely. "Just that it's tricky doing it..."

Heather O'Leary's hands clench under the table, and just nods slightly. Her face might be a little paler than normal, but that is hard to Judge, "Hey Alexis... glad to be home?" She calls out, her voice slightly off, but not a lot.

Alexis Ayala nods slowly, watching her, not really looking away, but she does wince a bit. "Glad I didn't have to do anything other than keeping the watch while we were on our way."

Alexis Ayala sighs, "but it SUCKS that I spent that time and effort repairing the Skyfighter, only to see it roast."

Heather O'Leary sighs softly, "You weren't the only one that was fixing it...." She shakes her head a bit, "But, just think, the next time a Skyfighter needs repairs like that, we have the required tools, and know-how, to do it. It is not all a loss..."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little and nods, frowning. "The lasers were what I missed fixing, when I had to rebuild it after getting shot down in it."

Alexis Ayala nods, "And I won't be wielding barrels to the fighter, and I know I'm not the only one, I just did the laser cannons, and I even had help doing that, though I haven't seen him"

Angelica quietly continues her work, by now completely opening up the burn wound, starting to gently peel it into sections with the scalpel, and run the regenerator onto each section, one by one, above the previous one.

Heather O'Leary's hands shake under the table, and she looks at Alexis, "I haven't seen Pyotr around lately either... He might be working hard on his... experiments, or something?"

Alexis Ayala nods slowly, and starts looking around a bit< "We've got some newcomers?"

Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little and nods. "Pretty new newcomers at that." She kisses Amanda on the forehead, and cradles her gently. She doesn't yet notice Heather's hand shaking under the table.

Alexis Ayala nods slowly and looks to Heather, "Got hurt pretty bad in the Skyfighter wreck?"

Angelica continues her work in silence, her hands not shaking. If her hands shook, she might botch something, after all... She continues working on the layers, slowly getting closer and closer to the top one.

Heather O'Leary shakes her head, "Actually, it was in the air.... Got a real bad burn from the exploding consoles when that other skyfighter was attacking us...." She pauses as she lets out a gasp, but that is it, at the pain in her back. Stubborn woman, afraid to let other see her hurt.

Elizabeth Maxwell hears the gasp, that's much less subtle than hands shaking. She slips down onto the floor, to hold Heather's hand gently, holding Amanda in the other hand. Her voice is quite tense. "Doctor..."

Alexis Ayala sighs, and nods slowly, "Never a fun thing that..."

Angelica sighs at the gasp, and nods at Elizabeth. "Yes... I know..." She pauses in her work, turning up the intensity on the device being used to try and block the pain. "I'm sorry..."

A Pretty bad burn? Try burnt to a crisp, and dead skin, and maybe, likely, Dead nerves, that the Regenerator healed a bunch of, causing lots more pain. Heather's hand is grasped, and she squeezes it, unable to prevent herself. She shakes her head, "Just get it done.... I can handle the pain...."

Alexis Ayala nods softly, "We should do something sometime, like a Dance, or...or...a party...or even just a barbecue, but a Resistance Day Ball would be kinda cute.." (Kind of like the Marine Corps Birthday Ball, or the Navy Day Ball)

Angelica shakes her head at Heather. "I'm turning the thing up, you shouldn't be feeling anything if it's high enough, so it isn't high enough. I just don't want to turn it up so high you go completely under, and lose your conversations."

Alexis Ayala hmms, "Or turn into an amorphous blob of flesh."

Elizabeth Maxwell holds Heather's hand tightly, shivering softly.

Heather O'Leary says softly, "The last time I tried to do anything in a social situation, I ended up pissing off a few people... I'll babysit the kiddoes while you guys do that..."

Angelica tries to gently continue her work, after turning the settings up, trying to finish the last layers of skin that are still burnt.

Alexis Ayala hmms, and continues to keep the subject off the wounds, "Are you sure you wouldn't enjoy Liz showing off her girl?"

Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little at Heather. "Just make sure to stay with me this time, instead of trying to tease the boys, and nothing bad should happen."

Heather O'Leary rolls her eyes, "Yeah... Still, think I'd stay away... Me in Social Situations, and a lot of people... I normally ended up screwing up." She sighs, "Or Tyler will say something, and I'll loose my temper, and deck him... Again." Yup, twice so far.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs and hugs Heather's arm gently with her free arm, nestling her head against it. "I'm sorry..."

Alexis Ayala hmms, "I don't know, that might be an enjoyable spectacle..."

Angelica continues her work, silently. She's about to clean up, in fact! She finishes the last of the layers, getting it all back into place healed, and working carefully on the edges to make sure there isn't any scarring from the burning. "Just about done with the first one..." She smiles and pets Heather's shoulder.

Heather O'Leary bites her lip, "I... I thought you got the one from the Laser, this morning... Or was it yesterday?"

Alexis Ayala smiles softly, looking to Elizabeth, watching her for a few moments with the kids.

Angelica smiles. "I'd like to check it, since it was field work, and double-check all I did."

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, and simply rolls over.

Elizabeth Maxwell bites her lip, watching silently.

Alexis Ayala looks to Elizabeth, "You okay? Look a little worried?"

Angelica checks the laser blast mark a little and nods at it, looking closely. "Looks like it's set properly..." She slips up for the device on the forehead. "Now just to get this off... it /should/ be fixed enough to not hurt. It might tingle, it might feel a little tender... If it's any worse, you need to come back, because there's a problem."

Elizabeth Maxwell smiles and shrugs a little. "I'm just a natural worrier, especially when it comes to her."

Alexis Ayala nods softly, "Guess I don't have much to worry about..."

Heather O'Leary sits up, after everything is removed, and shrugs slightly, "I'll be OK, Angelica..."

Angelica nods a little, removing the device, and smiling, looking Heather over. "Now get your clothes back on."

Alexis Ayala smiles softly, "Despite the idea that you might not go, what do you think of the idea Heather?"

Heather O'Leary looks at Liz, to see what she brought her to wear... than shrugs at Alexis, "I'm not really the boss around here, but if you want to do it, I'd say go ahead...."

Elizabeth Maxwell strokes Heather gently, and watches her, standing up with Amanda now. "you feeling better, honey?" She uses the hand that was holding Heather's, to offer the clothes over.

Alexis Ayala nods slowly, "who would I talk to?"

Alexis Ayala uh ohs, looks like she's become the event sponsor, if it does happen.

Heather O'Leary shrugs again, and slips into the clothing Liz brought, "I guess... Liz... Cause it is her ranch... or Tyler and Donovan, or Julie... I honestly don't know who would have to approve that." She leaves out the fact that *technically* the Ranch is in her name...

Heather O'Leary shrugs again, slightly, and walks towards the House, after scooping up Josh, to find him a place to sleep. "I need to get some sleep... after I eat." She glances at Liz, "As soon as we get that formula from Julie... bring me a bottle and I'll feed the Little one?"

Angelica slips over to Elizabeth then. "All right now. Up onto the table with you..." She starts unceremoniously stripping Elizabeth in the location of the laser blast holes, taking over her portable stuff, and looking her over quickly.

Elizabeth Maxwell glances up and nods from being stripped. "All right..."

Alexis Ayala smiles softly and waves, "Sleep tight then..."

Heather O'Leary frowns, and makes sure to get Amanda too than, "Since you are being worked on, I'll take them both..." Singing softly the old Barry Manilow tune of 'Mandy', she carries the two little ones inside.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little at Angel, squirming. "Please, just be quick about it?"

Alexis Ayala smiles softly, "I'm sure it'll be alright..."

Angelica nods a little, pulling her equipment, and checking it. "Haven't worked on you before..." She looks more closely at the wounds, then gets a scanning device, to figure out what settings to use. "First I need to find out if I have to change settings on this stuff, for it to work."

Elizabeth Maxwell flinches just a little at that, and nods.

Alexis Ayala moves a little closer, "I'm sure it'll be less pain than it would be if you had to endure the wound for as long as it would take to naturally heal."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs. "Or waiting however long for the cream to work. I know..." She shivers a little. "Just hate having to think about some things, is all."

Angelica mmmhs at that, running the scanner over the girl quickly, and watching the readouts. "Well, I'm sorry dear, but what works socially doesn't exactly work medically. If it needs adjusting and I don't, it could do something worse than the initial blasts."

Alexis Ayala nods slowly, and watches, "Just don't think about it Elizabeth, I think what you should really be thinking about is that Josh fellow hitting on your Heather."

Elizabeth Maxwell rolls her eyes a little bit and laughs. "Uh... huh. Yes, I'm sure that a 2 year old is going to steal Heather's heart. Actually, I'm sure they both are stealing her heart, the way she's acted around them."

Angelica shrugs a little, and starts adjusting her scanner again. "Hmm..."

Angelica mutters very softly, scratching her head.

Alexis Ayala hmms, "Why does it seem like you had an easier job with Heather? Elizabeth, are you being difficult?" she says, winking.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs and leans her head back, blushing very faintly, and grumbling softly. "This is embarrassing." She glances up at Angel. "I'm not quite /that/ weird, am I?"

Angelica laughs a little bit and raises her eyebrows, adjusting the equipment again. "You really want an honest answer to that?" She taps the equipment quietly. "Just the equipment being fussy on me, mostly."

Alexis Ayala nods softly, "Notice how she didn't wait for you to tell her you didn't want an honest answer..."

Elizabeth Maxwell glances over at Alex. "If she says that, it's irrelevant. If she weren't a doctor, I might do something very bad at hearing that comment, especially from /her/."

Alexis Ayala hmmms, not knowing what to really say about that.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs very softly, and closes her eyes. "It's not intended at you personally... just..."

Angelica glances down at her patient and nods, starting to futz with the sterilizer, to get it to the right setting. "Mm-hmm..."

Alexis Ayala hmms, "/Are/ you that weird Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little bit. "I'd like to hope not."

Angelica makes her first go at adjusting the stabilizer, and starts running it over the burn, getting a 'negative function' response and grumbling softly. "when I'm done with this, I'm gonna work on equipment maintenance, it's been out in the pouring rain, probably part of the problem."

Alexis Ayala hmms, "Nothing to do with patient weirdness? That's your professional opinion?"

Angelica hmms a little at Alex. "Some of it is that. I can't exactly help her with her denial issues though, she'd need a shrink to do that."

Angelica adjusts it, and starts running it over again, finally getting it.

Alexis Ayala blinks, "Wow, that's uncanny timing."

Elizabeth Maxwell's hands openly clench into fists at that, and she starts muttering to herself, to keep herself calmed.

Angelica sighs and shakes her head. "Sorry. I shouldn't have said that..." She runs the sterilizer over both spots, and digs up the regenerator then, starting to work on adjusting it. "I know it upsets you, and I'm sorry the equipment is taking so much trouble to adjust..."

Alexis Ayala smiles, "I'm sure its' just an odd coincidence Elizabeth."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little and shakes her head. "I'm probably being too sensitive for my own good, I'm tired after being out in the woods that long, so not exactly in the best of moods to start with..."

Angelica mmmhs a little bit, and starts meddling with the regen dials. "None of us truly is, though I got a little sleep on the flight back. We all need to go off to bed, I'm guessing. You're my last patient, I'll be going to bed when I'm done with you, as well. The maintenance will be tomorrow... as soon as I'm able to wake up."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little and nods, glancing to Angel and hmming. "I hope so as well. You only have to figure out settings once, right? I noticed when it was switched for you, it was switched back for everyone else without a problem..."

Alexis Ayala mhmms, "Professional opinion, no weirdness?"

Angelica sighs, and runs the initial regen sequence. Another report of negative effect. She grumbles at it softly, and tries re-adjusting it again. "It should only take one time of adjusting, and writing the settings down, to get it right." She glances over to Alex and sighs, before looking back. "I'm sorry that the settings have to change for you.... I wish they didn't. I know it would make you happier if they didn't, but the equipment is too sensitive, it won't work properly unless I do."

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs softly at that. "I know... It's... as I've mentioned about some other things, another crack in the fragile unreality that I usually let myself believe."

Alexis Ayala smiles, "Miss Maxwell, you surely know I'm kidding? I'm just trying to be humorous, I wasn't near serious..."

Elizabeth Maxwell shakes her head a little. "Sorry... it's all right. I'm just sensitive on that one issue."

Angelica nods a little at that, and starts running the regenerator, this time getting a better result. "There we go..." She runs it over the wounds, getting ready to scribble the settings down quick when she's done.

MEDICAL: Angelica attempts to heal Elizabeth Maxwell and is able to heal them a little.

Alexis Ayala smiles, "At least now everything is working the way it's supposed to?"

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little, and relaxes as it finally works, yanking for her shorts and top, to get them back on. "Now that I'm done being embarrassed..." She tries to calm herself out of blushing, if she can.

Angelica, for her own part, just scribbles the settings down. "Well, I have the settings now. You're the last one I needed them for, really. Unless I really get pressed into vet duty. I'm hoping not..."
