Title: Cleanng up the Fallout
Location: Maxwell Ranch
Synopsis: The Lovers Quarrel is over, time for a little more making up. And later... more about guns than you can shake a stick at :)
Elizabeth Maxwell is right where she was before, clinging tightly to Heather, trying to comfort her as much as possible while the poor girl sleeps.
Heather O'Leary wakes up slowly, and glances around. It wasn't a bad dream... either that, or she was moved here while she sleeps.
Elizabeth Maxwell holds Heather closely, kissing her forehead when she glances around. "Hi there."
Heather O'Leary tries to smile, but can't, "I... I'm sorry... About earlier."
Elizabeth Maxwell clings a little tighter and kisses again. "It's all right... I should have waited till you were feeling better to say anything, really." She strokes your hair gently then. "I'm sorry for pushing the issue so hard. I just worry about you when you're like this."
Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly, but doesn't say the first thing that pops into her head.
Elizabeth Maxwell hugs tightly and strokes hair, nestling her head against you softly, then pausing at the shrug. "What's wrong?"
Heather O'Leary shakes her head, "Nothing... Just... Some of what I said, was not said in Anger... I know what I did... and how dumb it might have been, but I am not the only one to do it."
Elizabeth Maxwell sighs. "I'm sorry. I know you're not the only one to do it in general. But your condition at the time wasn't good enough to be doing anything." She kisses gently, and holds more tightly. "I nearly lost you..."
Heather O'Leary smirks, "I'm harder to kill than you think, love."
Elizabeth Maxwell sighs a little bit and hugs tightly. "You cut it closer than you seem to think, though, as well. And as for not being the only one, it's not any smarter when they do it, and I'm certain whoever goes nuts worrying about them has probably said some of the same things I have."
Heather O'Leary smirks slightly, "I'm sure Donovan bitches at Parrish, yes... Tyler too...."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and shrugs. "I'm sure Parrish bitches at Donovan when he does it as well. And I'm sure you'd bitch at me if I ever did it."
Heather O'Leary nods, "Count on it. And it won't be if, it'll be when." She winks.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and shakes her head. "I'm trying to avoid such an incident, actually. But then, I'd probably run right off and do it, if I knew you were in trouble. If you hadn't come back as soon as you did, I would have probably tried sneaking onto the ship to get you."
Heather O'Leary shakes her head slightly, "Than we both would have been captured... Diana would have won."
Elizabeth Maxwell shakes her head back. "I was already figuring out a plan to prevent that, actually." She rolls her eyes a little bit. "But then... you came back too quick."
Heather O'Leary smirks, "What? You wanted me to be up there longer?"
Elizabeth Maxwell rolls her eyes. "No. I wanted you back down quicker, but I couldn't get away to get up there and spring you first. Go figure. I'm just glad you got off." She hugs tight.
Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "Well, next time, I won't escape, and I'll let you play Donna Quixote."
Elizabeth Maxwell pokes a little bit and tickles. "Bad girl." she kisses softly. "The point is, you did it, so I'm the one who gets to get after you about it."
Heather O'Leary chuckles softly, "I'll keep that in mind."
Elizabeth Maxwell hugs tightly and strokes hair. "You feeling a little better after sleeping a while longer, honey?"
Heather O'Leary nods, "Other than the legs, I feel pretty good."
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little and sighs. "I'm hoping that something can be done to get the legs healed up faster... not sure though. Have to pester Angel about that..." she scritches your hair again and kisses. "So... you hungry?"
Heather O'Leary shakes her head slightly, "Not really."
Elizabeth Maxwell strokes softly, and starts rubbing your shoulders. "Okay. Just wanted to make sure. I should be getting you anything you want, really..." She smiles.
Heather O'Leary smiles, "What I want? You couldn't bring that to me...."
Elizabeth Maxwell blushes a little and snuggles tighter. "Love you, honey..."
Heather O'Leary chuckles, "I know." She winks, and does her best 'Han Solo' impression.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and snuggles, kissing gently. "Maybe if they can fix your legs up soon, we can go up north and have a little fun."
Heather O'Leary nods, "We could always get me a Wheel Chair..."
Elizabeth Maxwell sighs just a little at that. "I was hoping that we wouldn't need to. You were able to walk into here, from the barn, even if you collapsed after. Maybe something can be done to fix it so it wouldn't be needed. I hope."
Heather O'Leary shrugs, "My legs were screaming the whole way... I was worried the stitches would pop..."
Elizabeth Maxwell hmms a little and nods, scratching her head a little. "I should probably take more of the medical stuff snatched from the Atlanta ship out there. I've been trying to see if any of it would work right on us, with someone who actually knew the equipment though... wonder if there isn't something better than stitches that could be done."
Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly, "Ask Angelica...?"
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit and hugs. "Yeah, I'll ask her. Maybe she can have you walking well enough not to need it. It'd be nice..." She kisses.
Heather O'Leary returns the kiss, and smiles, "being mobile is a good thing, Love. I hate not being able to walk to the... bathroom, kitchen..."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little bit. "Hrm. Bathroom..." she suddenly gets a realization. "Maybe we should talk to her, uh, quickly. I'm not strong enough to carry you to the bathroom... I'd have to get one of the others in to help with it."
Elizabeth Maxwell grins a little. "Maybe Ryan is still around to help."
Heather O'Leary blushes, and than shakes her head, "Just because I kissed him...."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and tickles some more, kissing again. "Sorry, I couldn't resist that tease."
Heather O'Leary smirks, "I know... just you wait, eventually I will get you back."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and tickles a little more, kissing gently. "I'm sure you will..." She nestles in tightly against you again, gently running her hands along your sides.
Heather O'Leary smirks, and plots aloud, "Maybe the next time I see him, I'll kiss him again, and make sure you get to watch."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs, and slips her hands to a really ticklish spot, tickling quickly when she gets them there. "Uh-huh... I guess I'll have to kiss someone for you to see as well, then..." she grins a little.
Heather O'Leary shrugs, "Payback is only fair... Of Course. Mind you, no matter who I might kiss, the person sleeping next to me had better be you, or they won't be happy when I wake up..."
Elizabeth Maxwell snuggles tightly and laughs, scritching. "Oh, it'll be me, don't worry. I'm glad to be here. I didn't get much sleep between the club, and New York, mind you, but..." she smiles.
Heather O'Leary sighs, "I'm sorry, Love..."
Elizabeth Maxwell hugs tightly and kisses your head. "It was by choice as much as anything else. I wanted to be awake to watch over you, so I could wake you up if you started having bad nightmares and talking in your sleep. I just wanted to protect you." She kisses again
Heather O'Leary nods, kissing back, "I know, Love."
Elizabeth Maxwell snuggles and strokes your hair. "I sleep a lot better when you're here next to me, as well. You're nice and warm." she snuggles tight.
Heather O'Leary chuckles, "Calling me a heating pad love?"
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and tickles. "Well, when I know you're here and safe, it lets me sleep easier."
Heather O'Leary snuggles, and winces at her legs, "Same here, sweetie."
Elizabeth Maxwell bites her lip at the wince. "Wonder when she'll be here to change the dressing on the legs..."
Heather O'Leary shakes her head, "She didn't say..."
Elizabeth Maxwell hmms a little and nods. "She said it'd be tonight, though..."
Heather O'Leary says softly, "I think so... I wasn't paying a lot of attention to her... more concerned about getting to you..."
Elizabeth Maxwell hugs tightly and nods, stroking your hair. "I'm sorry honey..." She holds on tight.
Heather O'Leary shakes her head, "It was my fault... I am letting the fact that I can't remember the last week, before we got back from New York, very well... just bits and pieces..."
Elizabeth Maxwell sighs and hugs tightly, stroking your hair. "I'm sure that Angel won't forget the first time she met you, anyway." She smiles just a little and tickles. "Though I shouldn't tease about it."
Heather O'Leary tries to remember her meeting with Angel, and a flash of her hitting the Visitor flashes into her mind, "I... Hit her?"
Elizabeth Maxwell snuggles a little and kisses softly. "Yes, you did." She scritches, and slips he hands down into naughty teasing. "Oh well. wasn't your fault..."
Heather O'Leary says softly, "Maybe... I don't know that though."
Elizabeth Maxwell snuggles gently. "You thought we were all hallucinations from the chamber at that point, was the thing. Had you convinced we weren't, then she showed up and said something before I could mention just what she was. Oops." She kisses again, and holds your rear gently.
Heather O'Leary hehs, and pushes her rear into Liz's hands, "My butt ain't broken sweets... if you want to play with it, do it right." She winks.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and kisses. "I would, but someone might walk in..." There's a soft knock on the door. "... any minute." She rolls her eyes slightly.
Heather O'Leary sighs and calls out, "What? Can't a gal have sex without someone knocking on the door?" She smirks, "Come in, but ya better be cute!"
Angelica arrives from Hallway.
Angelica slips in with her bag of stuff, laughing softly at that comment. "Hmm. Probably not, sorry."
Elizabeth Maxwell glances to Heather, and laughs a little bit, shaking her head. "Silly."
Heather O'Leary smirks, "I don't know... I haven't seen you naked yet... well, without clothes, I guess is what I mean." She glances at Liz, and winks, than turns her head back to Angel, and comments, "I am kidding, Angelica... I'm not trying to offend you..." She doesn't know how to joke with a Lizard...
Angelica laughs and rolls her eyes. "So I've been told. The one time someone caught me with everything off, to clean up and clean the inside of it. That was a while ago, though." She digs into her bag. "So how are the legs feeling?"
Heather O'Leary sighs, "Feels like someone put my legs in a meat grinder..."
Elizabeth Maxwell rolls off Heather, blushing just a tiny bit, and slips back so an exam can be done, moving to her other side to hold her hand.
Angelica nods a little bit at Heather, digging out her stuff. "I'm sure they probably do. I'll need to take the bandages off and check the stitching..."
Heather O'Leary nods slightly< "Elizabeth was wondering if any of the Visitor Technology would work to help heal humans?"
Angelica hmms a little bit. "Should be able to, with a little re-calibration. Don't happen to have any of the medical stuff around, do you?"
Elizabeth Maxwell glances down at Heather and squeezes a hand, looking up. "We took most of the stuff from one of the Atlanta mothership's sickbays. Most of it is downstairs from me trying to figure out how to work it. Should be in the little lab off the main area..."
Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "What Elizabeth said..."
Angelica nods a little bit and smiles. "I'll go get what I need then, and be back very shortly." She slips for the door, walking very quickly to get the stuff.
Angelica moves to the Hallway .
Elizabeth Maxwell snuggles gently. "Sounds like a good sign..." She kisses softly, and tickles your feet. "Wonder how quick you'll be up and around."
Heather O'Leary tries not to jerk her feet too much, biting her lip, so as not to mew in pain. She waits 'til the pain subsides, "Hopefully soon. This laying around all day is doing nothing for my figure. I'm going to get fat, and slow."
Elizabeth Maxwell hugs tightly and starts rubbing your feet then, biting her lip. "Well, just don't eat much, and it should take care of at least some of the problem..." She smiles a bit. Maybe you could do runs sooner if I were out with you to do them more often. Then at least there'd be a way to get a doctor, if you had a problem."
Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly, "I'll have to start at a much shorter distance than before, so for awhile, yes... but I like to get at least 5 miles a jog in..." She shrugs, "I'd hate to leave you behind, once I start getting my endurance built back up..."
Elizabeth Maxwell slips her hands back up, feeling very delicately up your legs, then hugs you at the waist softly. "What makes you think that you'd leave me behind?" She grins a little. "I'm not exactly that slow..."
Heather O'Leary shrugs, "How far can you run, at an even pace?" She shrugs, "I just haven't seen you run. As I said, at least 5 miles. Normally I average 10 miles..."
Elizabeth Maxwell scritches. "Hrm... Not entirely sure. I've never actually tried running a long way..." She smiles and hugs a little. "Still, worth a try. More time with you that way."
Angelica arrives from Hallway.
Heather O'Leary chuckles, "You are welcome to come along, of course."
Angelica slips back in, holding onto a couple of devices from the basement, adjusting the settings on one of them slowly. "Lets see now..." She ponders, looks at it, and adjusts it a little more. "That should work..."
Elizabeth Maxwell snuggles softly. "Just make sure to get me up with you. I'd happily come."
Heather O'Leary nods to Liz, than glances back at Angel, "How much will these take off my recovery time?"
Angelica smiles a little. "Quite a bit, actually. Should be able to knit it back together tonight with this one, without the stitches, the other is for the laser burns. It'll be tender for a couple of days, but it'll be safe to walk on at least."
Heather O'Leary nods, "Walking... When can I jog again?" Yes, this woman is a fitness fanatic, which makes most docs happy, when she is not bugging them to let her start working out again.
Angelica hmms a little at that, considering. "Well, if it all sets properly, it should be runnable within the week. Probably about 4 days, a little longer if it still hurts any."
Elizabeth Maxwell strokes Heather's hair gently.
Heather O'Leary nods slightly, pain is relative. What might hurt someone, might not stop her from running. She smiles, "Better than the couple weeks I was thinking it would take."
Angelica smiles a little bit, and leans down, very gently using her fingernails to peel away the tape from the bandages. There's a little blood, and a little general 'ick' from the wounds themselves on the bandages, to be sure. She digs something out of her bag, to clean them with. "I'll have to clean them up, then I'll sterilize the area and take the stitches out, and use it again after, to seal those up..." she nods to herself, and puts the most evil substance in medicine onto the gauze pad to clean. Bactine. The word is practically a curse...
Elizabeth Maxwell winces a little at that, and hugs Heather softly. "Uh-oh...."
Heather O'Leary bites her lip, and just lays there, unmoving. She'd almost rather not have a spoken play-by-play, but whatever the doc wants to do.
Elizabeth Maxwell umms a little, stroking Heather's hair. "Careful when she cleans it, honey, don't kick your legs. I know it'll probably sting..." She mutters "Bactine" under her breath, and shivers.
Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly, and keeps her legs very still, using all her willpower to not move them. Lucky she is a strong willed wench, eh?
Angelica cleans the wounds gently, getting the rest of the 'ick' off, and the blood, from where the stitches are. She has to clean for several seconds, though she tries to be VERY delicate at the stitches themselves, with the horrible stuff. She knows how much it stings people... She checks them over, and pulls a 3rd device out from her human disguise, having had it over the ear and mostly in the hair. "Now, to sterilize it more fully..."
Heather O'Leary just winces, but doesn't move. She squeezes her hands into the sheets of the bed.
Elizabeth Maxwell strokes Heather's hair, taking one of her hands gently. "It'll be all right, honey..."
Angelica bites her lip at Heather, turning on the little device she pulled it out, and running it over the stitched areas carefully, for several moments. It might tickle a little, but doesn't do a whole lot more. Certainly doesn't burn like the evil liquid.
Heather O'Leary relaxes a little bit, but tries not to squirm at the slight tickles
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles, and holds Heather's hand a little tighter.
Angelica puts the one thing down, and pulls up the other one, checking it over, fine tuning the settings one more time, and starting to run it over the areas. "If this hurts, say something." She starts running it over the stitched areas then.

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, and as the machine does the work, she rest comfortably.
Angelica smiles at Heather, taking her time. She takes several minutes in fact, to run the knitter over the stitches, initially, to seal the wounds back up. When she's done, she pulls a very small scissors from her bag, taking the sterile covering off it, and moving in. "Now, I'll snip the stitches..."
Heather O'Leary has had stitches out before, seen the scar on her face? She relaxes a lot more, cause, this won't hurt.
Elizabeth Maxwell glances up at Angel. "Will that leave any scars, after its done?"
Angelica shakes her head, snipping the stitches out one by one and pulling them. "It shouldn't, no. If it botches, I'll have to use another thing to remove the scar. That'd need adjusting and doing separately."
Heather O'Leary arches an eyebrow, "If it leaves a scar, no need to use anything to get rid of the scar... Scars I can live with..." She has, for about 12 years.
Elizabeth Maxwell watches quietly to see if it is. "Doesn't seem to be, anyway..."
Angelica ruffles Heather's hair gently, as she finishes up snipping the stitches, before picking the device she used prior back up, and running it over the places again, to seal up the spots the stitches were in. "No one should really /have/ to live with a scar, if they don't want to. Especially not with something around that can remove them." She makes a few more passes as well, to ensure there won't be any scar or discontinuity, before turning it off. "That should do it..." She smiles. "Now, roll back over...." She picks up the device she hasn't used yet.
Heather O'Leary nods, and rolls over. "I am used to the ones I have... especially this one..." She touches her face briefly.
Angelica nods a little bit and smiles. "Just thought I should make the offer, since it can be done." She starts adjusting the new device again, peeling up the bandages for the laser wounds. "This should help fix those faster..." She starts using the Bactine and sterilizer routine again, before using it. "Again, mention if it hurts, it has to be adjusted as well..."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles and squeezes Heather's hand gently again.
Heather O'Leary winces at the Bactine, of course that crap hurts.
ATTRIBUTE CHECK: NAME: Angelica ATTRIBUTE: Intelligence SUCCESS ATTRIBUTE CHECK: NAME: Angelica ATTRIBUTE: Technical SUCCESS
Angelica starts running the new device over the burned areas, then, trying to clear the burns up. It takes a few minutes, per side, and she watches it carefully. She checks the spot over, and picks up the device from the previous wounds after, starting to run it. "Make sure there's no scarring from this..." She smiles, and finishes up. "And you should be good to go. The spots might be tender, and don't run for a couple days, and you should be good." She raises her eyebrows. "And... do try not to get shot, next time? Or be near the vehicle when it explodes?"
Elizabeth Maxwell glances over at Angel, then down at Heather, and starts laughing.
Heather O'Leary smirks, "I shall try my best, but maybe if you told the Shock Troopers I was under *medical* orders not to get hurt, they might listen to you. They sure won't listen to me, if I say 'Hey! Guys, do me a favor... my doctor says I am supposed to avoid getting shot up... Could you shot someone else, please?'. MAYBE they will listen to you.
Angelica laughs and rolls her eyes, putting her equipment away. "I'll pick up the rest of the equipment from downstairs on my way out, some of it should really be useful if we have to do major surgery." She laughs a little more then. "We had a guy in Miami who I'd swear had the best luck of anyone. Was in several shootouts, and didn't get shot once. Then he wound up on his back for a couple weeks, cause his gall bladder ruptured and I had to remove it. Poor guy."
Heather O'Leary shakes her head slightly, "Never needed much surgery... at least, for non-wounds..."
Angelica nods a little and smiles. "Well, I'll see you all later. I should go out and check on the other patients."
Heather O'Leary nods and smiles, "Thanks Angel."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles and waves. "See you."
Angelica smiles. "Glad to be able to help." She slips out on that, still smiling.
Angelica moves to the Hallway .
Heather O'Leary sighs softly, "Well, at least I'll be good to go in a few days."
Elizabeth Maxwell snuggles a little bit. "You're good to walk now, at least, and can go to the bathroom... And take a shower. That thing she used sealed em up."
Heather O'Leary smirks, "So, that is your way of saying, I stink?" She teases, although, she might.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and tickles a little bit. "No, just thought you'd be happy to know you can take one. When was the last time you did?"
Heather O'Leary shrugs, "Umm... With you, before the raid..."
Elizabeth Maxwell bites her lip a little bit and laughs, tickling a bit. "Don't you feel a little dirty, after not having taken one since day before yesterday?"
Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly, "Well.. kinda.. but I've had to content myself with the knowledge that I'd be dirty until the stitches were removed, or at least, parts of my body would. I was sooo looking forward to asking Ryan for a Sponge Bath."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little bit and raises her eyebrows. "Well, no one knows she used that stuff. You could probably still do it just to drive him up the walls." She grins a bit, and kisses.
Heather O'Leary chuckles, "Well, the boy is too innocent. Maybe seeing a naked body would get him to stop his constant blushing. How many women live here at the ranch? If he is going to blush anytime he sees a breast or ass cheek uncovered, he is going to blow a blood vessel..." She winks.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs harder then, shaking her head. "Yeah, I suppose so. Poor guy. Least he gets to hide in town from having even more risk of it, on some days." She shakes her head."Still, probably right."
Heather O'Leary shrugs, "Although, maybe having Quinn just drag him off and screw his brains out would work too.. for everyone. She'd get what she needs, and Ryan... Well, he's a sweet boy." She can't believe she just said that, but what the hell.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little bit and shakes her head. "Uh... huh." She rolls her eyes, and snuggles, tickling again, and peeling her clothes off slowly.
Heather O'Leary smiles, "Ooh, tempting the injured already, eh?"
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and nods. "Well... I figured I'd offer to shower with you, if you wanted."
Heather O'Leary says softly, "No time like the present to see if her shit worked, eh?" She levers herself to her hands and knees, her knees almost buckling form being in one position for too long.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little bit and wraps her arms around Heather, nakedly. "It worked, they're sealed up. Shouldn't come undone for a shower."
Heather O'Leary nods, and gets to her feet. She stays there, unmoving, as she gets her balance back.
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles, snuggling in as you stand, pushing her breasts against you slightly, and trying to help the balance.
<This is where the events of the Alexis arrival happen, see that log>
Elizabeth Maxwell ehs a little and shakes her head. "Not really. Certainly talks plenty though. I'm glad Miami sent her out. We don't have enough medical people."
Alexis Ayala nods, "Talks plenty? A Real talkative one then?"
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little bit. "Sometimes, yes. Especially in the course of her job. Still, she's friendly. Better than one of the other doctors around here..." she grins a little. "One of the others is a real grump, and a complete downer."
Alexis Ayala nods softly, "And let me guess, that one's human?"
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and nods. "Michaela Quinn. She's not really as bad as she's made out to be, but she gets grumpy when people come home shot up. Which, in our line of work, happens sometimes."
Alexis Ayala bites her lip softly, "I can't imagine ever wanting to be looked after by a Visitor rather than...well, I can't really say one of us..." she sighs, "I...I'm here because I wanted to better myself though...and I suppose not all of them are heinous creatures of evil?"
Alexis Ayala blinks, "Should we sit?"
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little, and nods, gesturing to a bench on the porch. "Sure, take a seat. And no, they're not all like that. They have their own internal dissident movement, which oftentimes has helped us out."
Alexis Ayala nods and moves to the bench, sitting down slowly, "Right, so...yeah, that doesn't make them any easier for me to kill, when the time comes..." she says softly,
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles. "Usually the dissidents aren't the ones shooting. a lot are less military types. Ones who got drafted and the like."
Alexis Ayala nods, "I was talking about killing the one's that aren't dissidents, there being dissidents doesn't make it easier for me to shoot at them...it's easier when you can think that they're not people, but then...that makes me as bad as them, so, it's definitely good that I can...actually know one of them."
Elizabeth Maxwell ahs a little and nods. "Yeah, it does get harder when they get seen as people. Most of us around here have seen it for a long time. By the time I was able to join up, it was already seen that way. The ones loyal to their government are still the enemy army, though, so have to be dealt with. War is an ugly business, and all that."
Alexis Ayala nods, "I know, a lot of my time was spent as a military-folk, I've had to see them that way for a long time, but, when I was younger, and I know, I'm not that old, I still wanted to just see them as 'the enemy'..."
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit. "I'm not that old either, so..." She smiles a bit. "I understand the feeling. There are people who still try to. It just isn't that simple. Never is."
Alexis Ayala nods, "Can't be, won't ever be...life isn't a simple thing...I've often lived life a little faster than the speed of life, I think I'm ready to try something different."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and nods. "Living fast can be a pain, yes. I know that."
Alexis Ayala nods, she laughs, "I already told Ham, a long time ago, that...my life has been wrought by me doing things I'd never thought I'd do, and yet, I chose to do them myself."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little and nods. "I never actually thought I'd pick up a weapon, just a year or so ago. But now... well, I chose to do it."
Alexis Ayala nods softly, "How well can you shoot Miss Maxwell?"
Elizabeth Maxwell hmms a little bit. "I can shoot reasonably well. Not as well as some of the absolute sharpshooters, but not too badly."
Alexis Ayala nods softly, "I can teach you to shoot better than decent, for certain."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little bit and nods. "Hope so..." she stretches slightly. "Last rating I had was a little over 75 percent accuracy, with a firearm."
Alexis Ayala blinks softly, and hmms, nodding slowly, she hmms. "Well, I've got near 100 percent, where I come from we're not rated that way though, do we have a range out here?"
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little. "It's out in the pasture."
Alexis Ayala nods, "You have a handgun on you or need to drop by the armory to get it?"
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles. "I can pick one up on the way there, from the barn."
Alexis Ayala nods and starts to stand, "care to go to the range then?"
Elizabeth Maxwell nods, stretching a little. "Sure..."
Alexis Ayala nods, "I've got mine in my purse...never was much for makeup..." she says.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and shakes her head. "I've never carried a purse, and I don't plan to now." She looks over towards the barn.
Alexis Ayala grins softly, "I wasn't carrying my luggage, and I don't have a jacket that goes with this blouse to put a holster under, so I pack in my purse."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and nods. "A purse can't carry some of the heavier stuff, either."
Alexis Ayala shrugs, "I don't usually plan to get attacked in this outfit, besides, my hand cannon is usually heavy enough, it's no shotgun, but she's powerful enough."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little and nods, glancing over the outfit. "I suppose not." She shakes her head a little bit and laughs
Alexis Ayala hmms, and sighs, "Oh, please don't laugh...I look silly don't I?" she says, and acks, walking towards the barn.
Elizabeth Maxwell shakes her head, walking towards the barn quickly. "Not at all. You look fine." She smiles a bit. "If anyone looks silly, I probably do, for how little I'm wearing."
Alexis Ayala nods slowly, "Well, you're prettier than me, you got it, flaunt it, right?" she blushes, "I don't got it." she says, making a face.
Alexis Ayala moves west.
You go to New Barn.
Elizabeth Maxwell slips into the barn quickly, walking over to a corner and opening the locker up, pulling a few weapons out, and checking them. "Should probably check all of them, really..." She gathers them up and ties some straps around them, checking the clips and such before doing so. "Let's go..."
Angelica is off where she was, still near the infirmary. Right where a doctor should be, waiting for patients.
Alexis Ayala smiles, "Alright, I can check them." she says, and blinks, looking to Angelica, standing there. She hmms, having been told she talks a lot, and lifts a hand, waving to her.
Angelica waves back and smiles. "Hi there."
Elizabeth Maxwell checks the weapons, and nods, waving at Angel on her way for the door. "Now, to the range..." she smiles.
You go to Maxwell Ranch Front Yard.
Alexis Ayala arrives from New Barn.
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles, and heads for the pasture. "The targeting range is in here..." She opens the gate quickly, waiting for you to go through it, though.
Alexis Ayala nods and follows after you, "Alright."
You go to Pasture.
Alexis Ayala arrives from Maxwell Ranch Front Yard.
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles, gesturing to the target in the field. "Behold, our targeting range. Such as it is. One target tied to a hay bale."
Alexis Ayala giggles, "Maybe we'll work on that." she says, sliding her M1911A1 out of her purse, a flashlight attached to the underside on a rail-system.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs, watching that and checking a weapon herself. "Suppose we could, but then, it's served well enough as it is..."
Alexis Ayala nods, "I suppose, but if I ever want to teach more than one person..."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and nods, smiling. "Suppose so..."
Alexis Ayala smiles, setting her purse down and clicking the safety off, chambering a round.
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 16
Alexis Ayala levels the weapon, sights the weapon, reaches up and then clicks the nob a few notches in one direction, levels the weapon again and closes one eye, firing the weapon, with a kick as she does so.
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles, undoing the straps, and pulling up what by far is the longest of the weapons in it. A big Winchester Defender. She checks the ammo, and brings it up to her shoulder, firing it off.

Alexis Ayala snickers, "Not sure I can teach you to fire /that/ more accurately, I mean, I could...but...you generally don't train to be more accurate with something like that..."
Alexis Ayala closes an eye, firing again.
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 15
Elizabeth Maxwell checks it. "Depends on what kind of loads you're using." She smiles, and sets it down, checking the other weapons and nodding a bit, pulling up a Glock 17, and checking safety. "It also takes up a lot of space, so isn't practical in some situations." she pulls back on the trigger, smiling.
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Glock 17A 9 mm Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 13
Alexis Ayala hmms, "I don't know, still doesn't matter how accurate you are with a slug as long as the bastard hits, it'll take a damn limb off..." she says, making a face again. She giggles, and then looks, looking to the glock, "Ah, a Glock, beast of a gun..."
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 9
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs and nods, picking another weapon up. "Yeah, it's useful for some things..." She glances down towards the target, smiling, and sighting the new weapon down and pulling the trigger. This weapon doesn't look like, well, any other kind of handgun.
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Visitor Laser Sidearm and hits! DAMAGE: 34
Alexis Ayala blinks softly, and looks, she sighs, "I need to get one of those..." she says, sighting up once more.
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 20
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little. "We have plenty in the armory. The rifle version is better..." She puts the pistol down, and picks up the rifle model, sighting it up. "When the Atlanta mothership was caught a few weeks ago, it was quite the fun cleaning their armory out." She grins and fires for the target again.
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Visitor Laser Rifle and hits! DAMAGE: 41
Alexis Ayala looks to you, and watches you, nodding and smiling, "So, how about I show you how to fire those a little more accurately?"
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 14
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little. "Suppose so. Heather taught me most of what I know about firing a weapon."
Alexis Ayala says, "I know how to use them just like the others, but the other group wouldn't let me take them back with me.""
Alexis Ayala nods, "Alright." she says, "Well, do you know about squeezing the trigger rather than pulling? Be 'surprised' when it fires?"
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 10
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little. "Probably because they didn't have any to spare..." She sights and fires it again. "Hmm..." She shrugs. "Not that I recall, no."
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Visitor Laser Rifle and hits! DAMAGE: 43
Alexis Ayala hmms, "Try it.." she says, "It'll make your shots less fluttery, you can still hit what you're aiming at, but if you squeeze the trigger instead of pull it, the shot will be more accurate, even with one of their laser weapons." she says, firing her last shot, the slide locking forward when she's done.
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 11
Alexis Ayala clicks, releasing the clip, and pulling another out of her purse.
Alexis Ayala says, "watch."
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit, watching carefully, pausing in her own shooting to do so.
Alexis Ayala smiles softly, "Breathing has a little bit with it too, so I'll just fire this shot off." she says, slamming a new clip home, sighting up, and firing quickly.
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 6
Alexis Ayala grins, "now watch this." she says, breathing in slowly, sighting up, and when she exhales, she begins to pull the trigger, 'squeezing' it rather than pulling it, the pistol jumping in her hands.
COMBAT: Alexis Ayala attacks Target with Colt M1911A1 Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 16
Elizabeth Maxwell hmms a little and nods, bringing the Glock back up, and trying to get in a little practice with it. "Hm..." she checks the sight, and tries to squeeze it and breathe, while still concentrating on the target.
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Glock 17A 9 mm Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 8
Alexis Ayala smiles a bit, "It definitely takes a little getting used to, but it should make you more accurate all around."
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit, smiling, sighting, and trying to do it again. "I assume so... Most of us just think 'point and pull trigger', and shoot that way.
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Glock 17A 9 mm Pistol and hits! DAMAGE: 10
Alexis Ayala giggles, "Yeah, a lot of people think that way." she says, "And now, check this out, this is why being a gun bunny comes in handy, take a look at your sights real quick..." she says.
Elizabeth Maxwell blinks, nodding and looking them over carefully. "What about them?"
Alexis Ayala smiles, holding her gun out to you, "Sight up and look at my sights."
Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little, checking the sights on the other weapon then. "Okay....."
Alexis' handgun is A Springfield Armory M1911-A1 'Tactical Response Pistol 'Operator' Model'. There is a combat flashlight, a simple, small light, for night ops. The clip holds 7 rounds, though if you chamber one round and reload a fresh clip, you can have 8 rounds. The Feature she's particularly noted on this Match-Grade pistol however are the Adjustable Novak Night Sights, the dots for sighting on the Novak Sights are glowing a neat green, clearly able to be seen even at night, and the knob on the side and the way the sights are installed on the gun seem to suggest that they can be adjusted for different ranges.
Alexis Ayala smiles softly, "It has the night sights, so you don't lose any accuracy at night, and they are adjustable, to make you /that/ much more accurate when it really matters for those distance shots."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little, handing it back. "Wow, fancy stuff. And here, I've been using the regular sights. The laser rifle has a fairly good sight, overall, but nothing else I have really does." She smiles and shrugs.
Alexis Ayala nods, "It makes a difference, really, you sure as hell notice it." she says, grinning a bit and taking her gun, "Two things I teach, and one thing I practice in addition to those two things. I teach how to shoot them right and accurate, because it's what I've been taught to do, very well, and I teach respect for the weapons, what I do in addition to that, is make weapons better."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little bit and nods, considering. "Respect for a lethal device is always a requirement. Otherwise one could become careless with it."
Alexis Ayala nods, "Exactly." she says, "I've seen people not respect them before, it gets jammed and they think they'll just fuck around with it till it works again..."
Alexis Ayala grins, "I'd show you what to do with a jammed pistol, but, I keep mine too well for that."
Elizabeth Maxwell winces a little and nods. "That's... one of the things I like the other sides weapons for. They don't jam like that." She smiles a little. "Still..." She pulls the M-16A1 up and sights it down for the target. "With proper maintenance, it shouldn't jam. I know how to field strip all the weapons I use, by this point..." she smiles, and fires a short burst. COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Colt M-16A1 Assault Rifle-<burst> and hits 2 times! DAMAGE: 4
Alexis Ayala nods, "A necessary skill, to be sure, though I'll likely be taking care of the weapons now, or at least, those that people will let me."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and nods. "Ever tried picking apart an enemy weapon, by chance?"
Alexis Ayala nods, "I gunsmith anything but a rocket launcher." she says, grinning, "One doesn't smith a rocket launcher, you just make sure it keeps firing."
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs. "Suppose so. Saw someone use a rocket propelled grenade launcher not long ago, think I'm going to need to learn how to use one of the things. It worked very nicely.
Alexis Ayala giggles, "I shoot at smaller things, I'm not proficient with big big things..."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles and nods a little bit. "I'm trying to learn as many as I can, as quickly as I can." She checks the rifle again, and fires a longer burst. "Anyone who can do so should be learning how to operate any type of weapon that may be required for a mission."
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Colt M-16A1 Assault Rifle-<full-auto> and hits 8 times! DAMAGE: 30
Alexis Ayala nods, "I can see why you would do that." she says, watching you fire off the rifle, "Oh, I'm sure I'll be learning the bigger one's soon enough, just didn't have much use for them in the past, was always Rifleman, not Support."
Elizabeth Maxwell nods at that and shrugs, checking the rifle again, and firing another short burst. "With the bigger clips, this works really well."
COMBAT: Elizabeth Maxwell attacks Target with Colt M-16A1 Assault Rifle-<Full-Auto> and hits 6 times! DAMAGE: 14
Alexis Ayala nods, and giggles, "I would hope so."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles, nodding a little bit, checking it. "I've been considering trying one of the big big magazines for this one..."
Alexis Ayala nods, "Ah?" she says, looking to her, "Really?"
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles a little and nods. "I don't have any place to stick 3 clips, oftentimes. the 100 round dual drum one sounds like a good idea, as such."
Alexis Ayala nods, "Well of course it does, more bullets means more things you can shoot at." she says, grinning a bit.
Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little and nods. "Exactly."
Alexis Ayala smiles softly, "It's getting late honey..."
Elizabeth Maxwell looks around a little bit. "I suppose so. Should probably go off and go to bed sometime soon."
Alexis Ayala nods, and smiles a bit, "Probably." she says, "Find my room again..."
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles and nods. "The rooms are in the basement and the upstairs of the barn."
Alexis Ayala nods, "I know." she says, nodding, "Take care?"
Elizabeth Maxwell smiles, nodding a little bit. "You too. See you tomorrow."
Alexis Ayala nods, "Don't forget what I taught you." she says kindly
