Examples:

  • Throwing Knife: A throwing knife is a knife that is specially designed and weighted so that it can be thrown effectively.
  • Throwing Spear: Javelins, Pilums, Assegai
  • Chakram: A throwing weapon from India. It is circular in shape with a sharpened outer edge and ranges in size from approximately 4.7–11.8 inches in diameter.
  • Shuriken: A Japanese concealed weapon that was used for throwing. They are sharpened hand-held blades, made from anything but traditionally indicate the "throwing star".
